                  TGC Volunteer Reimbursement Policy


General

Toogoolawah Golf Club relies totally on the unpaid work of our many volunteer members and non-members, who generously devote their time, skills, efforts and other personal resources for the betterment of the club, and for the maintenance & development of our course.

We highly respect and value all these volunteers who make it possible for our club to provide all members and guests with a first-rate golfing and social environment for a very modest membership cost.


Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to document those situations where payment may be made to a volunteer for reimbursement of expenses incurred for work authorised by the Toogoolawah Golf Club Management Committee.


Policy

1. Where goods are to be purchased to enable work to be carried out, wherever possible, the goods should be purchased from an authorised supplier and billed directly to the Club.

2. In the event that authorised goods are paid for by the volunteer, receipts must be submitted to the Treasurer for reimbursement.

3. When a volunteer supplies heavy machinery specifically for a project such as a bobcat, tractor, backhoe, truck, etc. the club will reimburse fuel costs for the machinery used during the project.

4. No additional costs will be considered for reimbursement unless written approval has been granted by the Committee prior to commencement of the project.


Outside this policy

The Committee has authorised some local businesses owned by members to assist in the maintenance of some of our machinery & buggies. These businesses provide us with very favourable terms of service and fall outside this policy.
